FAQs

We're here to help: read through our FAQs!

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to e-mail us.

Q: When do Fall classes begin and end?

A: Fall classes begin after Labor Day each year in September and end at the beginning of June. Specific start/end dates can be found on our Calendar

Q: Do parents stay at the studio during their children’s Recreational/Prep Team classes?

A: For students 6 & under, it is recommended that parents stay in our waiting room while their children are in class. For students ages 7 & up, drop off/pick up is recommended due to limited space in our waiting area.

Q: Can parents go inside the dance rooms?

A: Parents may not go into the dance rooms unless it is an emergency situation. Parents who would like to watch their children in their Rec/Prep classes or Private Lessons may do so from the TV Monitors in our waiting area.

Q: What clothing should dancers wear to class?

A: There is not a mandatory dress code for dance classes at the Rec/Prep level. Just make sure to wear athletic-type clothing that is tight-fitting and has stretchy material. Clothing such as leotards, leggings, shorts, t-shirts, and tank tops are acceptable. No jeans or baggy clothing, please. For more help on dance clothing, read through our What To Wear page.

Q: Are dance shoes required?

A: It depends on the class style. Read about shoes for each style below:

  • Acrobatics: barefoot

  • Ballet: Ballet shoes are required (preferably pink or flesh-toned, split-sole Ballet shoes)

  • Jumps, Leaps, Turns: shoes such as turners or foot paws are required

  • Hip Hop: clean tennis shoes are required (no street shoes allowed on dance floors)

  • Jazz: barefoot

  • Contemporary: barefoot

  • Tap: Tap shoes are required (preferably black, hard-sole Tap shoes)

Q: Where can I purchase dance shoes and attire?

A: Many of our students find their shoes and dancewear at Dancers Pointe in Stow.

Address: 4954 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224

Phone: (330) 655-5542

We also have a Consignment Shop in the waiting area with gently used dancewear and dance shoes. Make sure to check it out before paying full-price elsewhere!

Q: When is my monthly tuition due?

A: Tuition is due on the 1st day of each month and is billed to your Payment Portal accounts on the 15th day of the prior month. All accounts must keep a current credit card on file. Tuition may be paid by cash or check by the 6th day of each month. If tuition is not paid by the 7th day of the month, the credit card on file will be automatically charged. Please check your CSDS accounts regularly to stay up to date with balances. To access your account, go to your Payment Portal.

Q: Is my tuition reimbursed if a class is missed due to illness or vacation?

A: We do not reimburse tuition unless it is for an injury/serious illness that causes multiple weeks to be missed.  We offer makeup classes instead for those missed classes due to illness/vacation. Please contact our office for makeup class options.
